Week 1

Note:- What is taught in class is often more detailed and demonstrated more fully than trying to understand without attending.  Plus help is usually moments away.  Historically most failures in this subject (usually not submitting work) are as a result of not attending this course. - You have been warned!

PRACTICAL

This week we are looking at Word, this is the Microsoft Word Processing package.  There will be a demonstration on a number of basic Word features.  If you did not attend and missed these, please click on your choice/s of Word 2007 tutorials, in Links below and catch up in the Open Access centre, or on your home computer. Make any appropriate notes and/or or print off copies.

The first demonstration will show you how to set up the margins/gutter and orientation, header, footer, page number, font/size/colour,  centre/underline/embolden, create a table, merge, split, shade, text box, symbols, alignment. indent, text boxes for images/clip art, text & photos, bullet points, copy & paste, footers and page numbers.
